1. Worship Services will continue online and in-person at ⅓ capacity with masking and social distancing. The auditorium can have 100 people only, and we will open the partition for the gym in addition to this to accommodate those who may want more space. The sanctuary will accommodate 100 people only. Please visit eccc.ca to reserve your Eventbrite tickets ahead of time.

2. Sunday School is online. Elevation will be on pause, and we welcome Grade 7 and up to our regular Worship Service in-person or online. Nursery is closed

3. All Saturday and Sunday Preschool to Grade 6 services/programs will only be offered online. Visit eccckids.com for more information.

4. Awana and Kaio will be moved online. Please visit eccckids.com for more information.

5. All other fellowships, cell groups and meetings will move online or can choose to be in-person in the church building as long as rooms are only at ⅓ capacity with masking and social distancing. Please contact your leaders for more information. Contact office@eccc.ca for room bookings. Gym and kitchen bookings are not available at this time.

We understand we are in uncharted waters, and there is no decision that will please everyone.  But we also acknowledge that we serve an all-knowing God and continue our posture of humility and prayer during this time. If you or a brother and sister you know need prayer or help, please reach out to our pastors, elders, deacons, council and staff.

Please visit the Government of Alberta website for new measures to protect the health care system, stop the spread, and how to get vaccinations. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Mask Announcement

In response to the City of Edmonton Mandatory Face Covering Bylaw, anyone over the age of 2 will be required to wear a mask while attending activities at ECCC, effective Friday, September 3rd. As part of conducting “religious or spiritual ceremony,” speakers and praise leaders may only physical distance or have plexiglass. As usual, we ask all attendees to please continue to keep up with sanitizing practices and physical distancing if possible. Thank you for loving your neighbour and doing your best as we continue to worship God together.

[Week 1] 30 Days of Prayer

As Ramadan begins, so does our 30 days of prayer for the Muslim world. We’ll be providing a prayer guide each week to help us know how we can better pray for our Muslim neighbours. Our weekly prayer meeting will be on Wednesdays at 7:30pm on Zoom. For more details and zoom information, please look at your bulletin notes or contact dannis.huynh@eccc.ca

The first prayer meeting is this Wednesday (Week 1 prayer guide is below)! See you all there!

[Week 4] Forgiveness

Join us this month of March for corporate prayer meetings weekly on Wednesdays @ 7:30pm to pray through these Scriptures together. Zoom ID: 844 1252 9872 PASSWORD: 967219

We also encourage you to fast from 12-6PM every Sunday during these five weeks (or to "fast" from things that can easily distract you) and finish with a celebration of the Lord's resurrection that gives us hope of new life on Resurrection Sunday.

Sunday: Psalm 51:1-2

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!

Monday: Matthew 18:21-22

Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Tuesday: Mark 11:25-26

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Wednesday: Psalm 103:11-12

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

Thursday: Colossians 3:12-13

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Friday: Numbers 14:18-19

‘The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.’ Please pardon the iniquity of this people, according to the greatness of your steadfast love, just as you have forgiven this people, from Egypt until now.”

Saturday: 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

[Week 3] Repentance/Turn

Join us this month of March for corporate prayer meetings weekly on Wednesdays @ 7:30pm to pray through these Scriptures together. Zoom ID: 844 1252 9872 PASSWORD: 967219

We also encourage you to fast from 12-6PM every Sunday during these five weeks (or to "fast" from things that can easily distract you) and finish with a celebration of the Lord's resurrection that gives us hope of new life on Resurrection Sunday.

This week’s theme is "Repentance/Turn"

Sunday: Isaiah 30:15 NIV / Acts 3:19 NASB

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it."

“Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;"

Monday: Ezekiel 18:30-32 NASB

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each according to his conduct,” declares the Lord GOD. “Repent and turn away from all your transgressions, so that iniquity may not become a stumbling block to you. “Cast away from you all your transgressions which you have committed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! For why will you die, O house of Israel? “For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord GOD. “Therefore, repent and live.”

Tuesday: Revelation 3:19 NASB

Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.

Wednesday: Romans 2:4-5 NIV

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that

God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

Thursday: Revelation 2:1-5 NASB

“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this: ‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary. ‘But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. ‘Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.

Friday: Isaiah 55:6-7 NIV

Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Saturday: Luke 5:32 NASB / Luke 15:7 NASB

“I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”

“I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."

[Week 2] Seeking

Sunday: Psalm 63:1-3

O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.

Monday: Psalm 9:9-10

The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.

Tuesday: Psalm 119:1-4

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways! You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.

Wednesday: Isaiah 31:1

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, And trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong, But they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the LORD!

Thursday: Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Friday: Matthew 6:32-33

“For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Saturday: Colossians 3:1-4

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

[Week 1] Humility

God has called on His people to seek Him whole-heartedly; he will be found. Thanks to the brothers and sisters for joining us on the Church's Day of Prayer on Feb 27. Starting from Feb 28, we will continue to seek after God for the following five weeks, not only for His vision for ECCC but also for rebuilding our personal and Church prayer culture; learning to use our knees to walk closely to follow the Lord's lead and helping our Church becomes a temple of prayer for all people. From Feb 28 to Apr 3, we will post scriptures for you to pray using the Word of God and each week, we have a theme: the first week is humility, the second week is seeking, the third week is repentance, the fourth week is forgiveness, and the fifth week is healing. We also encouraged you to fast from 12-6 pm every Sunday during these five weeks (or to "fast" from things that can easily distract you) and celebrate together the Lord's resurrection that gives us hope of new life on The Resurrection Sunday.

Theme of the week is "Humility", scripture as below:

Sunday: Zephaniah 2:3

Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the Lord.

Monday: Proverbs 18:12

Before destruction a man's heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

Tuesday: Isaiah 57:15

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Wednesday: Proverbs 18:12

Before destruction a man's heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

Thursday: 1 Peter 5:5-6

Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you

Friday: Matthew 11:29-30

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Saturday: Philippians 2:3-4

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Day of Prayer - February 27th, 2021

A CALL TO PRAYER: FEBRUARY 27, 2021, 9AM-NOON

In the history of Israel, when the country and people were facing uncertainties, threats, and danger, they humbled themselves to seek the help of the Lord. Abraham, Moses, David, and King Jehoshaphat all sought the Lord and saw breakthrough, victory, healing and forgiveness. Dear brothers and sisters, may I encourage you not to view your prayers as a casual and semi-important event, or regard them as a “shopping wish-list” to the Lord. Prayer is honest conversation with the Lord. Prayer is a reflection of our heart. Prayer can change the future because our God listens to us when we are right before him. We are His people who are called by His name. We can hold on to the promise from our faithful Father who promised to forgive and heal when we humble ourselves.

May I encourage all of you to set apart Saturday February 27, 2021, 9am-noon to be a day of prayer, as a step to develop a deeper culture of prayer within our church. Let us humble ourselves and seek His favor, healing and direction. We will worship, meditate, confess and seek His guidance for the whole morning. We will not separate into different congregations. We will use English and Chinese throughout the whole time. Let’s seek Him together and experience His presence, guidance, and healing.
