Petros & Samuel Spring Retreat

Samuel/Petros Spring Retreat: Because of COVID-19, we are having a retreat rather than a

Spring camp as we have had in previous years, meaning that students would go home for the

evenings and return in the morning. The retreat will take place Sunday March 27 (2 PM - 10 PM),

Monday March 28 (9:30 AM - 10 PM), and Tuesday March 29 (9:30 AM - 4:30 PM). The theme

will be "A people belonging to God" (1 Pet 2:9), and the guest speaker will be Joe Lee, a former

youth pastor and regional director for AWANA. Registration forms can be accessed on the

church website. The deadline for registration is coming up soon (March 6). The cost for the

retreat will be $60 to cover the cost of food. Hope to see you there!

In-Person Youth Fellowship Starting November 19th

Samuel and Petros Fellowship are planning to meet in person starting Friday November 19, 7:30 - 9:30 PM at ECCC. Samuel fellowship will meet at their usual location in the Lower Hub, while Petros will meet in the English Auditorium (where Awana / Kaio met previously). Note that the children's Awana and Kaio fellowships will continue to meet on-line, and NOT in person.

We are moving to in person meetings again because of the importance of face-to-face interaction in building relationships with our youth and for spiritual formation. At the same time, we also recognize the importance of complying with provincial restrictions, including social distancing >2 metres apart and frequent hand sanitizing. We will easily be able to comply with the <30% capacity limit set for places of worship, given that most other church groups are still meeting on-line.

Please remember to keep your son/daughter at home if they are experiencing any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 infection. We strongly recommend that everyone in your household be vaccinated, though we will not be checking or requiring proof of vaccination.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Peter Hwang, Pastor Chanh, or Pastor Henry.
