ECCC PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER
Position Summary:
Provide excellent service to the staffs, members, and vendors of ECCC Church adhering to and maintaining a system of fiscal responsibility and responsible stewardship.
Key Requirements:
A growing relationship with Jesus Christ
Accounting diploma or equivalence background with minimum 3-5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience
Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, charitable tax laws, and reporting requirements - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate, including effective working skills of Sage 50, MS Word, Excel, Google Docs and email
Ability to adapt to and learn new software
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and/or reasoning
Ability to work under pressure and meet set deadlines
Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
High level of personal integrity and work ethic, attention to detail in all areas
Key Responsibilities:
Data entry of accounts payable, prepare and process bills, statements
Verify and reconcile transactions, bank, accounts payable and receivable
Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (i.e. disbursements, offering, accounts payable)
Compile data and prepare a variety of reports and statements
Reconcile records with employees, management, and external vendors
Provide accounting and clerical support to finance department
Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
Stay current with all regulations, practices, charitable tax laws, reporting requirements and trends
Performs other duties as assigned
